Busy Week!

Hi Mom!
How are you doing today? The Strongs are visiting!! No fair! I love them!!
This week has been crazy!! It went by so fast, I don't remember what we did and when, so I'm just going to have to generalize everything except for Friday and Sunday.

This week was a miracle week. Elder Adams and I worked really really hard. We hit the pavement and tracted all week and this is what we have to show for it. We broke the mission record for most Books of Mormon placed in a single week. The previous record was 22, and we placed 23. In OAKRIDGE!!! We also taught 32 lessons, and found 14 new investigators!! It was crazy awesome! It goes to show that obedience brings forth blessings!

On Friday we had district meeting, so we went into town for that. We then had to get the oil changed and get the tires rotated. The oil went fine, they tried to get us to purchase a ton of stuff but since we're in a "company car" we pretty much told them just to do the oil change and stop asking (but in a lot more polite way). After that, we dropped off the car, and as it turns out, the alignment is off on the car, and we need all four tires replaced (because we're in a four wheel drive) and so we didn't get the tires rotated, but set an appointment up to get the alignment taken care of, and new tires put on the car.

Sunday was a great day. We found a wonderful family that has a ton of potential. We also had one investigator come to church, and we had a dinner! The Allens fed us! (The branch president and his wife, with two of their grandkids and one of their sons) it was great food and company! All in all a great day. That's about it for my week!

I want to finish by saying I know Jesus lives. He loves us, and he cares about us. He came into this world to help us. He suffer, bled, died, and rose to help set the way for us. I love him, and want to do my best to follow him.

I love you! I pray for you!
Elder Snyder

These are the only pictures I have this week because of how busy I've been!!

Pictures from his Zone Conference

Bracken's Mission President keeps a blog and when the missionaries get together he takes pictures and tells us what they are doing. Thank you for the pictures President Russell!!

Here is a happy bunch! Elder Snyder, Elder Adams, Elder McCleary, Elder Hansen, and in the back, Elder Christensen, not quite sure the  message that Elder Blair is giving us, maybe this is his second can of soda? Elder Fowers who is eternally happy, Elder Hill, and Elder Poston.

Bracken and the other missionaries serving in his Zone. They are called the Springfield Zone. They are "Lifters, Not Leaners!" Just one of the many experiences Bracken gets to do during his conferences. I know his leaders truly love him and want him to succeed and be the best missionary he can be! What a great opportunity to get a peek into his conference. :)
Bracken's mission president and his wife are the 3rd pair in. You can see just by their picture they truly love the missionaries they are serving. It brings tears to my eyes how much love they have for my son and I am so grateful for them!

What?!?! He's Crashed Many Times?!?!

I sure miss this missionary of mine! It was great to hear from him on Monday and I'm glad he's doing well and having fun! He cracked me up saying we were less active in church. We missed church because Elise broke her arm on Saturday night and we spent the whole night in the ER with her so we slept in on Sunday. I was happy to see the missionaries as they remind me of Bracken and glad they could come over for a minute and lift our spirits. They also challenged us to give out a Book of Mormon so look out nonmember friends- You just might get one! Bwahaha :)

Hi Momma!
How are you today?
I'm doing well! The missionaries think you're less active?? That must mean you haven't been to church in forever!! You might have to start coming back! Hahaha!

OH no! Elise broke her arm?? That stinks!! I feel so bad! Hopefully the recovery time is quick! Maybe she better stick to riding bikes or something;) I've crashed many times, and I haven't broken any bones!! :) I'll pray for her to get healed quickly! I really don't like hearing about him crashing many times! Ugh!! Flashback to the bike crash video on ice!! I pray that boy will continue to be watched over and hope for no broken bones!!

My week has been crazy! We had service on Wednesday at one of our investigators houses. It was great! On Thursday we did weekly planning, then on Friday we didn't have district meeting so we decided to do a 12 hour finding day / fast. So we got permission to leave the apartment at 9:00 and didn't come home until 9:30. It was crazy!! We found 3 new, and put one investigator on date for baptism!

Saturday, we found out about transfers..... And I'm..... STAYING IN OAKRIDGE WITH ELDER ADAMS!!!!! YAY!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!! We asked president if we could stay and he asked God, and apparently the answer was yes! Im so happy!! We have plans to break all the records for finding, teaching, and Book of Mormons placed. It's going to be great!! I know this transfer will be a great one!

EASTER! What a wonderful day! It was such a great time to reflect on the love that Jesus has for us, and that he really did live again. I know it. The tomb is empty. Jesus is really alive! How great is that! We did have some dinner at a members house! It was so good!

Love ya mom! We got the package! Thank you so much!! It really has helped me out with the shopping!

Much love!
Elder Snyder
Grilling some yummy Brats!! We taught him well!!

This video enlightened our minds to show us how far away in the middle of nowhere he truly is! That kid cracks me up with his inner redneck coming out all too easily! ;)

Sorry for the late posts!

We were overwhelmed these last two weeks but glad I had the chance to update today. I'll try to do it early this next week!
It is fun to see these countdown numbers going down! We sure miss that Bracken boy!
I'm so thankful for his Mission President to personally call him to tell him of his Grandpa's passing and what a sweet gesture to get all the missionaries from that mission on a conference call and to pray for Bracken and our family as well as the other Elder and his family who also lost a loved one. I'm also grateful to Bracken to share his testimony of the gospel. I know too that because of the Atonement and Sacrifice of Jesus Christ we will all be resurrected and live again. What a blessing it is to have this knowledge. It brings me great comfort in my trails, especially the trials of losing loved ones.
Happy Easter Everyone!! I'm so glad Bracken has the chance to share the gospel and do service for the people of Oregon. His experiences thus far has truly helped him and I know his mission will always be a special part of his life. :) As his mom, I appreciate all your support and prayers! Remember if you want to contact him or send him a letter or package his info can be located on the sidebar of the blog. Also if you are interested in watching the Easter message Bracken has been sharing, here is the link:

Hi mom! How are you doing today?
I was so sad to hear about Grandpa, it really made me sad to hear. President called me and told me. Another Elder in the mission lost his Grandma the same day, so the whole mission went on a conference call and President Russell asked a missionary to say a prayer for me and our family as well as the other Elders family. It really was a beautiful prayer, and it was nice to feel the love and faith of the mission. It's probably the hardest thing on my mission. I really want to be there for you all and for Grandma, but I know God can help ya'll better than I could.

This week has been pretty crazy. I swear that we spent no time here in Oakridge. We had to drive into town so many times! We drove in for MLC (missionary leadership council) on Tuesday, which was a meeting where we learned what we were going to teach at ZTM (zone training meeting). On Friday we went to ZTM, which I had to teach two segments with the other District Leader. It went really well! We then did an exchange, where the elders in our district came up with Elder Adams and I. It was a wonderful exchange! We found two new investigators and it was amazing! On Sunday, we doubled our church attendance for sacrament meeting! We had two investigators come and a whole bunch of less active members!! We had over 40 people in attendance at church! It was a huge blessing!!

Then that leads us to Monday. We had zone conference in Eugene, so we left super early for that. We picked up some elders on the way and we made it on time, despite the awful traffic that is in Eugene. The conference was great!! We learned a lot!! After, we went to the mission office because they called and said that the package came in, so we went and picked it up! Thank you so so so so much!! That really does help! I'm so thankful that I have a wonderful family that helps me out! It is such a great great blessing.

So that is my week! I have been thinking a lot about the Plan of Salvation, and I am so blessed with the knowledge that death, though is a super hard trial, is a mandatory part of God's plan for us. And just like birth, death is but a step in our eternal journey. I bear my testimony with that of the great Apostle Paul, "22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." I know that since Christ broke the bands of death, that I'll see my Grandpa again. I say these things in Christ's name, amen.

Much love,
Elder Snyder
Only picture I have this week.

Sometimes, you just need a tub of ice cream after a rather long day. Made my day worth it!! :)

Hey Mom,
Conference was amazing! I loved all the talks! I don't have any particular favorites this time or as of yet, but I love all the talks about love and acceptance for all. Especially since a lot of people think that we don't love and accept all.

This week was long and I don't remember much of it. I remember that we had a few lessons set up, so that was good. We went out and were contacting farmers and stuff like that. We also are trying to show all the people of Oakridge the new Easter video. It is pretty cool, if you haven't seen #princeofpeace, definitely recommend it. It is super great!

We also stopped at a reservoir close to town and took some pictures, so I'll attach them. We also went to town of Friday for district meeting. We went shopping and that was good. If you could, some target or Walmart gift cards would be awesome to help with shopping. We have to eat at the apartment every day because nobody can feed us that often. I did send him monies in his Easter package :)

I'm so sorry to hear about grandpa Dahl... I hope that he hangs in there until after the mission. If something happens, please call President Russell so that he can tell me. I definitely will be praying from them. I can't help but think of the glorious plan of salvation. Death is but step in the journey back to our heavenly father. As we know "as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive."

I know that this is true. When we are done with this life, we shall see each other again.

I love you! I'm praying for you!
Elder Snyder
